ASSesSMENT FAQS
EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO KNOW ABOUT TESTING.
WhAT KIND OF TESTING DO YOU OFFER?
I utilize psychological assessments to assist with identifying and/or clarifying diagnoses, treatment planning, and to help you better understand your symptoms and yourself. Specifically, I offer psychodiagnostic testing for individuals facing new or exacerbated mental health symptoms including anxiety and mood concerns, trauma, severe mental illness, and more with the goal of clarifying diagnoses and treatment planning. I also offer testing for individuals who suspect they have Attention Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), and/or Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), and I provide testing for individuals seeking accommodations on high-stakes exams, such as the California Bar, LSAT, GRE, MCAT, GMAT, and more.
In my assessments, I work to identify your areas of strength, as well as target areas for growth. I work to incorporate your cultural background into all aspects of testing to ensure your care is unique to you and considers all aspects of your identity. I provide evidence-based treatment recommendations to guide your care, and I will work with your treatment team if desired (e.g., psychiatrist, therapist, other health providers) to provide collaborative care to ensure you get access to the most appropriate care. To learn more about the testing process, including answers to commonly asked questions, read on below. You may also contact me for a free 15-minute consultation to discuss your interest in an assessment.
WHAT IS YOUR Hourly RATE for testing?
My hourly rate for testing is $400 an hour. Please review the specific webpage for the testing you are seeking for average costs.
DO YOU TAKE INSURANCE FOR ASSESSMENTS?
Unfortunately, it is uncommon that insurance will not pay for testing, thus I do not accept insurance and I am private pay. If you want to attempt to claim out-of-network benefits, I can provide you with a Superbill for services rendered that you can submit to your insurance for reimbursement, however there is no guarantee for reimbursement.
WHERE ARE YOU LOCATED?
I offer testing mainly online using virtual video appointments throughout the state of California. I have some availability for in-person testing in Sausalito, California. Please contact me for availability.
