About ME

Welcome! I am licensed psychologist and Bay Area native. I am obtained a doctoral degree (Ph.D.) in Counseling Psychology from Purdue University in 2020, a MA degree in Clinical Psychology from Columbia University, Teachers College in 2015, and BA degree in Psychology from the University of California, Santa Cruz in 2007.

Through many years of intensive coursework and research, advanced residency training, and professional experience providing therapy, I have developed a strong foundation of evidence-based therapeutic interventions and skills to identify, treat, and relieve various mental health concerns.

My graduate and post-graduate training is extensive; as part of my clinical training, I worked with culturally and psychologically diverse patients in both inpatient and outpatient hospitals, community mental health clinics, and a university counseling center. In these settings, I provided individual, couples, family, and group therapy, as well as crisis intervention, psychoeducation, and career, psychological, and neuropsychological assessment. During my graduate training, I also conducted research on understanding more about immigrant and refugee mental health concerns, and improving access to mental health services for refugee populations living in the United States.

I completed my pre-doctoral internship year (2019-2020) in the Psychiatry department at Kaiser Permanente Fresno, CA, followed by an additional residency training year (2020-2021) at the Kaiser Permanente Psychiatry department in San Rafael, CA. I continued working as a psychologist with Kaiser following my training (2021-2023), providing therapy and assessment as both a generalist and a specialist as part of the Trauma team, the DBT team, and providing crisis intervention as a member of the Crisis Team.

The presenting concerns I’ve provided treatment for include individuals experiencing mood and anxiety disorders, post-traumatic stress disorder, ADHD, personality disorders, suicidality, abuse, domestic and interpersonal violence, substance use disorders, eating disorders, Serious Mental Illness, dual-diagnoses, and other psychological disorders. I currently specialize in psychological assessment and providing therapy for women with anxiety, panic, and stress, ADHD, mood disorders, and PTSD.
