Frequently Asked Questions

How long does an assessment take?

Most assessments take between 4-5 hours of your time and include brief questionnaires you complete beforehand, a clinical interview session, and a feedback session that includes a brief patient facing summary outlining your assessment results. The exact time of your assessment depends on which assessment you need. For example, ADHD evaluations require 4 hours of your time, while high stakes exams accommodations often require more than 8 hours of your time. All assessments require additional time for interpretation, analysis, and report writing (if desired) and this varies based on the assessment requirements. Please refer to the specific assessment page you are seeking for more information.

Do I need a referral to schedule an assessment?

No referral is required. You can self-refer by scheduling a free 15-minute consultation to discuss your symptoms and determine the right assessment for you.

Will insurance cover the cost?

Testing is private pay and typically not covered by insurance, though a Superbill is provided on request for possible out-of-network reimbursement — there's no guarantee of reimbursement. Full details are on the Assessment FAQs page.

Can the results be used by my doctor or therapist?

Yes. With your consent, I can share results directly with your psychiatrist, therapist, or other providers, and I'm happy to collaborate with your existing care team around implementing treatment recommendations.
